How to avoid common fashion mistakes

When it comes to looking good, you usually follow the rule to follow the latest trend. You tend to ape your favorite movie star or probably the most popular person in college. This is one of the most common mistakes that you make. And this fashion faux pas makes you feel uncomfortable and embarrassed at times.
You can look good, but the first thing you need to do is to be aware of your body and your comfort level. Rule 1 is to wear clothes of your size, not a size big or small.
Another important aspect that you need to keep in mind is the occasion for which you are dressing up. Try to understand when you need to look sporty or feminine. ‘Appropriate’ is the key word here.
- Have the haircut that is appropriate for your hair type and face cut.
- Wear make up in accordance with your complexion. Learn to differentiate the part of your face you need to highlight.
- Wear short skirts if you are sure that it suits your body and most importantly if you can carry it well.
- Do not make it look ‘too much’ in any way. Wear simple jewelry. If you want to wear big earrings, then do not team it up with the big necklace.
- Your undergarment is as important as your dress. Wear the right size and the right straps.
- Wear the perfume that makes you feel good and does not give headache to others.
- Team up your dress with the appropriate shoes. Although sneaker are very comfortable, but accept that you cannot wear it with any dress. Avoid wearing bulky shoes with feminine dress. Spice up your outfit with a pair of hot stilettos.
- There is nothing as sexy as high heels, but it is perfectly okay to avoid it if you cannot manage to walk properly in it or walk awkwardly and bump into others.
Remember, the mantra is to look ‘sexy’ and not tacky.
